I stumbled this beautifully done site today and had to share it. It isn’t exactly a work at home thing, but it could work to keep your kids busy! The site is called The Toy Maker and it offers whimsical paper toys for kids. You can just download the PDF version of the toys and print them out. Then you cut them and assemble.

This would be ideal for children from about age 6 up. There are baskets and little theaters and animals to do up. They are really quite adorable and you might be tempted to do a few yourself!

If you like the free toys featured on The Toy Maker, you might want to consider buying the book, The Toymaker: Paper Toys That You Can Make Yourself, which is full of cutouts that turn into toys. This would be an ideal gift for a child or anyone who is young at heart.
