Thirteen Things that Don’t Belong On My Desk
For this Thursday’s Thirteen Things, I’ve decided to write about the things that have somehow ended up on my desk, which really have no business being here! I’m sure all work at home moms can relate!
1. A bottle of black ink which I rescued from my 16 month old’s curious fingers. Not sure why THAT was within his reach!
2. An empty blister of acetaminophen from when I was having massive pregnancy-related headaches.
3. A ball of about 10 feet of dental floss, again, rescued from my son’s nimble fingers after he managed to open the floss and haul out an astounding amount of thread!
4. A bilingual board book on trucks. Which I am requested to read at least five times an hour! I think there is one on the five senses kicking around here somewhere, too.
5. An empty coffee mug from this morning which I just don’t have the energy to take out to the sink.
6. Nail clippers from useless attempts to clip above mentioned son’s fingernails, which are beginning to resemble Dracula’s!
7. A packet of chili seasoning from Domino’s pizza. Don’t even ask.
8. A hammer. I have no idea why that is on my desk or how it got there.
9. Bottle of Tums, which actually kind of does belong because I suffer from late-baby heartburn!
10. A water-damaged notebook. It has assorted to-do lists in it from months ago, but somehow managed to find its way up onto the top of my monitor.
11. A bottle of bubble solution, hidden behind my computer because my son is rabid obsessive about bubbles and WILL NOT let me work until I have blown every last bubble there is in a bottle and then he has a tantrum because they are all gone. I think that one will stay there.
12. A Mag Lite. I think I took that away from my son as well, when he was smashing it on the concrete floor. Who knows if it still works.
13. The warranty for my new bed. If it gets off my desk, it will probably be lost forever in this chaos I call a home, so there is sits, wedged under my monitor!

lol
Wow, that’s quite a variety of things found on your desk! It’s amazing the things we gather up over time.
