Thirteen Blogs On My Google Reader
For today’s Thursday Thirteen, I’ve decided to share my favorite blogs with you. These are the ones that I have subscribed to and read as soon as they have a new post. They are all worth checking out and most of them are related to working at home, although perhaps not exclusively for moms. These are not listed in order of importance.
1. Click Newz: Lynn Terry offers really useful internet marketing info on this blog and it is well-written and easy to understand, not like some super technical sites.
2. Paid Opportunities: Although this blog isn’t updated quite as much as I would like to see, it is a VERY handy place to go if you want to earn some cash online or off. All of the opportunities reviewed are 100% free and the reviews are very honest, good or bad.
3. I Should Be Folding Laundry: I love this blog. It’s written by a mom with two little kids whose husband frequently travels for business and her daily insights are great. She really makes you realize that you are not the only mom who has kids doing weird things! Plus the blog name is genius.
4. Just Make Money Online: Home of the $100 Challenge which I posted about in April. This blog is good if you are interested in earning money online through blogs or websites. And the owner, Shai, recently had a baby girl! Congrats!
5. Make Money Online With Court: This is a recent discovery for me, but a very good one! Court writes some of the most informative blog posts I have ever seen. He doesn’t just stick to 200-400 word posts, some are over 5,000 words! Imagine how much information can be crammed into an article like that! I highly recommend this blog to anyone interested in online earning.
6. ProBlogger: This is a good site for bloggers. If you own a blog or are thinking of starting one, you will find a lot of helpful information here! They also run a blogging job board, which is perfect if you want to earn a monthly paycheck for blogging instead of trying to monetize your own site.
7. The Copywriting Maven: A writing mom who offers not only tales of hospital trips with her son, but some genuinely useful writing advice. She specializes in copywriting, so if you are into poetry, this isn’t the site for you.
8. Dosh Dosh: I have no idea what the title of this blog means, but it is a great blog anyway! The subtitle is “helping you make money online” and that is the focus of the blog. It gives all sorts of good information on online earning through blogs and websites and more. I check this one pretty regularly.
9. Quest for Extra Money in PayPal: I just recently discovered this one. They don’t seem to have many high paying opps, but the blog covers most of the lower paying ones like Helium and Paid Posting. I check it frequently to see if they have come up with anything new.
10. Work at Home Mom Writer: Offers job postings and heaps of information on freelance writing. Plus, it’s written by a work at home mom, what more could you ask for? This is a good blog for information, it isn’t just a personal blog about a writer.
11. Aweber Blog: I like this blog because it offers a lot of different business ideas, most of them work for wahms. There are also some generic marketing tips to be found here.
12. Freelancing Journey: A handy blog if you are looking at freelance writing. They offer information on marketing yourself, plus writing info and even some jobs. There are also contests once in a while that are worth entering.
13. Mommy Space: This blog announces itself as providing “practical ideas for working from home” and it delivers! Whether giving you new ideas or exposing scams, this is an excellent blog for all wahms. If you are working from home or thinking about it, check this blog out.
Well, there you have it. These are only a handful of the blogs I try to read each day, but they are the top 13 on my list. Please check them out for more information on working from home.
