Party Time!
Welcome to the festivities! We`re doing something a little different today, thanks to the Ultimate Blog Party over at 5 Minutes for Mom. And, it just so happens that it`s my second blogiversary this month, too, so we have double reason to celebrate!

Who I Am
My name is Genesis Davies and I`m a Canadian expat living on the side of a volcano in Guatemala. I am also a work at home mom of two fun little boys, Dorian (3) and Dante (22 months) and partner to my Latino man, Irving.
Guatemala might not be everyone`s choice for moving to, but I`ve found it to be a very beautiful place and considering that I earn in dollars . . . it`s definitely good! We`ve been building our own house, something that wouldn`t have been possible in the current economic climate back home in Canada. If you`re interested in learning more about the expat life, I blog about it on Expat Mom, my personal blog. I also have another blog with one of my sisters, The Gourmet Mama, which is a cooking blog that focuses on making cooking amazing meals easy for busy moms.
I work as a freelance writer and spend all my time at home with my kids. It`s not always easy and sometimes I wish I could just go to an office, but most of the time, I love it! Recently, I wrote an ebook, Article Marketing Step by Step, to help work at home moms promote their businesses online for free. What This Blog Is About
At Home Mom is all about helping women find ways to work at home and for those who are already wahms, there are tips on balance and how to survive when trying to work, deal with housework and keeping your kids happy without going too insane yourself!
You`ll also find a lot on how to build your home business, from finding a business idea and setting up a home office to creating a business plan and forming a support group. If you are interested in learning to promote your home business, you`ll find information on that here, as well. Basically, I`m trying to provide an extensive resource for work at home moms and women who want to be work at home moms. If you`re looking for inspiration, Motivational Mondays feature a successful work at home mom each week.
In the near future, the blog will be expanding to include various ebooks, as well as some ecourses to make life easier. Wow, I would love to here more more about how you ended up in Guatemala. I also do a lot of article marketing, it sure beats all the money I wasted on pay per click ads, I wish I had discovered it sooner!
Thanks for coming by, everyone! Guatemala is pretty good for living, particularly in the current economic climate. It`s definitely cheaper, though I`m no longer certain of what costs are up north (haven`t been back to Canada in 7 years), but we are building a house, which never would have been possible on our income back home!
