Making Memories While Balancing Holidays, Kids and Work

It`s time for Christmas break and those of you with kids in school will shortly be innundated with holiday-fueled hyperactivity, which can make it rather difficult to work. Working during the holidays can be very stressful and when you have no real breaks from kids, you`ll find that it`s even more difficult.

With that in mind, why not look at reducing your workload and doing some fun stuff with your kids? This is a great time of year to be making some memories and you`ll feel better about working because you`ll have spent time with your children rather than just getting frustrated at their distractions. It goes both ways, too, kids are far more likely to leave you alone if you hang out with them for a while.

A few ideas for some fun activities to do with kids.

  • Bake some Christmas cookies.
  • Make some snowflakes, the regular ones or the 3D kind for older kids.
  • Go sledding with the kids.
  • Build a snowman.
  • Put on some carols and sing at the top of your lungs while dancing around the living room.
  • Get out the sequins, styrofoam balls and glitter and start inventing new, cool decorations for the tree.

What are you doing with your kids this holiday season?
