ListPlanIt, A Hot Organization Resource for WAHMs
I recently had the opportunity to check out ListPlanIt, an organizational membership site. If you could use some help getting more organized, then this might be just what you need. Here`s what I think of the service, based on a couple days of using it, scroll down to the bottom of the page to win a free YEAR of ListPlanIt.
First Impressions
I`m a total list person, so I was pretty excited to see all the starter lists to choose from. There`s a category for everything from Meal Planning or Fun to Student Planning and Time Management. And each category has a whole bunch of lists to start with. You can also work with calendars, if that`s more your style or if you are planning a longer term project.
Things I Liked
To tell you the truth, I was really impressed with just about everything on the site. All the categories were amazingly well thought out and contained lists that anyone can use. However, there were a few that would be outstanding for work at home moms, so those are the ones I`m going to highlight here.
The business planning section is amazingly helpful for wahms. You can access PDF planners where you log your social networking times, any publicity done for your business, jobs you`ve applied for, ideas for blog posts (I`ll SO be using that one!) and a lot of other useful resources.
I also liked the budget section. It`s often hard to think of all the stuff that you should be budgeting for, so I find a premade list to be a very useful resource.
Another real great section is on relationships! Many work at home moms have problems keeping their relationships fresh because they end up spending all their time on either the business or on their children, leaving little room for husbands or friends. The lists in this section will help you remember to take the time to appreciate your spouse and make time to hang out with your friends.
Things That Could Have Been Better
The whole ListPlanIt site is very well laid out and overall, it covers all the bases. I think I would like to see the ability to open the PDFs online, but it`s not a big deal. In my explorations of the site, I did find it mildly confusing in a couple of spots, but again, no real problem. Overall, it`s a great service. Which brings us to . . .
