I recently listened in on a call for the 24 hour affiliate...interesting stuff. I think most people who find affiliate programs confusing just don't quite understand them and don't really know how to research and make a plan of action BEFORE starting. There are a lot of areas where a mom can make some money through affiliate programs, but it DOES take some time and effort. However, the cool thing is, that when you do things right, you can take breaks or be sick and still earn $$$$. Alice definitely has some good information. I like to research and write the content I want to write and just stick some ads next to it.
