How Many Businesses Do You Have?

I`m rather curious . . . how many businesses do you run? Are you a one-business woman, focusing all your energy into one project or are you one of those entrepreneurs who just can`t stop the flow of ideas and has to try more than one business?

I have to admit that I`m the latter and from what I`ve seen on MomMasterminds, it`s a common problem for work at home moms . . . we just have too many good ideas!

Personally, I have several projects on the go, a cooking blog, this blog, a writing business and a scrapbooking website in the works. What about you?

  1. Wow when I read your question in my google reader I thought you were describing me for a minute! I didn’t know everyone did this too! I’m so relieved to know other mom’s are into more than 1 business project. Rhight now I have my main food-recipes-diabetes blog, 14 other blogs all different topics and a website that I just got going and to top it all off I’m a powserseller on ebay! So I really do know how you feel.

  2. Barb, wow, you`ve got your fingers in a lot of pies, there! :) It`s hard to resist a great idea, isn`t it?

  3. Hi, my name is Karine. I am a 33 years old woman and I’m working at home too. I’ve been involved with Multi-Level Marketing for 10 years. I’ve tried many different techniques to develop my home business, but now I use The SpiderWeb Marketing System developed by Kimball Roundy, because it actually works.
Also, I’m working with a company in Management council (real estate) I’m doing almost all the work at home by internet, but sometime I have to go out and meet some persons. It’s great !
And…I make projects for the young people of my county… about 15-20 hours per week
By the way, I have 4 child between 9 to 14 years old ! And I’m single ! … We are SuperWomen !

  4. I work from home running a direct sales business, as well as teaching piano lessons and Kindermusik classes. I am also kicking around the idea of a blog, but I’m not sure I want to…be….so………….exposed. Harr! I just discovered your blog and am subscribing!

  5. Karolee, you only have to be as exposed as you want with a blog. :) Many people use nicknames and no photos, etc. to keep their blogs anonymous. You can also make it private, if you prefer, so people need a password to read it.

  6. First off, I love your blog! I just discovered it today and already I’ve gotten a ton of helpful ideas. :)

Second, a more related to the topic, I currently don’t have ANY bsinesses going because I get so many great ideas because I get too many to start on lol.

  7. I have so many business ideas that it can get a little muddled. That’s why I’ve tried to limit myself. Freelance writing is what Tamara and I do, but there are some projects that could probably be considered side businesses. I’ve learned to focus my attention on one thing long enough to really give it some traction rather than just flitting from idea to idea. Still, I let myself plan and fantasize in my notebook…I won’t be running out of things to do anytime soon.
