If you’re not in the business of writing, the idea of creating articles and giving them away for free to anyone who wants them seems a bit weird.   • Backlinks. Every time your article is submitted to a directory, you get a link from that directory to your site. Not only that, but if someone wants to pick up your article, then you get yet another backlink, using your anchor text.
  • Expert status. You know how some wahms are EVERYWHERE online? Well, part of that is through article marketing. They do a lot of other marketing, too, but getting articles out there with your name on them will help people see you as an expert in your field.
  • Traffic. While the traffic from article marketing isn’t always huge, it does provide a steady trickle . . . or stream once you’ve built up a lot of articles.

Anything that can help boost your visibility online is beneficial, so it makes sense that article marketing is a good way to go. As long as you are turning out great articles that reflect your work ethic, you’ll be building up a reputation online. Best of all, it’s totally free!
