Getting in the Promo Habit

They say it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. One habit that we should all be in is promoting our business. What do you do each day to get your business out there? It doesn´t have to be anything big. I´m not talking about renting a billboard or taking out a magazine ad, there are plenty of little things you can do that take a few minutes, but they all build up to great business.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

- Hand out at least 5 business cards per day.

- Make and give out coupons. You can give coupons to people who have already bought in order to encourage them to come back.

- Place a classified ad.

- Put flyers on car windshields (make sure you can do this in your area).

- Write an article about your business and submit it to Ezine Articles with your business URL in the bio box.

- Hold a contest, this draws a crowd!

- Leave your business cards wherever you are, at the doctor, the dentist, waiting for your child in the school office, etc.

- Make and wear a shirt with your business logo on it. CafePress lets you design your own clothing, bumper stickers, stickers and more.

To really get your business promotion off the ground, make a list of ways you can publicize and gain interest for your company. Then start doing one thing each day, no matter how small. Every tiny step helps and you will see the long term benefits of developing a promo habit.
