Exercise for Mental Clarity
Do you frequently feel that your brain isn´t running at full speed? Lately, I´ve felt like I´m in a fog all the time and I don´t think it was just the pregnancy! Court over at Earn Money Online Free with Court decided to try a little experiment. He´s going to try working out and eating better for a week to see if he can regain his mental clarity. Should be interesting and I, for one, will be checking in to see how he´s doing.
The fact of the matter is that exercise is very important to our bodies and most of us, when we work at home, just don´t get enough. When your commute is literally walking down the hall to the kitchen, it´s kind of hard to get your blood pumping!
According to the American College of Sports Medicine, people are better at managing time demands after having exercised. Who doesn´t need better time management skills? They say that workers who exercises are also have higher productivity rates and better mental performance. That is a pretty good improvement, especially if you are talking about running your own business!
So, how do you squeeze exercise into your day, between work and kids and household chores? Here are a handful of ways to manage it.
-Take the kids to the park for an hour. Instead of sitting on a bench, join them in a game of soccer or tag.
-Hit the street. A quick jog around the block with the baby in his stroller only takes a few minutes and it boosts your heart rate quickly.
-Do some jumping jacks while waiting for your computer to start up. Jog in place while on hold with your suppliers or do some stretches.
-Get up 15 minutes early and put on an exercise video like Dancing With the Stars – Cardio Dance. Bound to get you moving fast!
-When you are running errands, park the car in one place and walk to each of your stops. You won´t waste much time since you would otherwise be looking for a parking spot.
