Enjoy Teaching? Start a Tutoring Business
I´m not a teacher, at least, not a licensed one, but I´ve spent over 5 years teaching everything from reading to English as a Second Language. One year of that was spent teaching in a private school here in Guatemala, a job which I enjoyed immensely, though it never would have been possible in Canada!
Some people just have a knack for making things understandable to others and if you are one of those people, there´s no reason you can´t earn money from your ability. While there are many areas where teaching skills are useful, we´ll be looking at tutoring today.
Tutoring can be extremely rewarding. Basically, you take a child who is having difficulties in school and give them the extra help necessary for the child to keep up in school. Most tutors have specialties, for example, I could never teach math since anything besides the very basics is beyond me, but English and reading and writing are something that I can teach very well. It´s important to focus on tutoring areas that you are very comfortable with, since otherwise you are likely to get just as stuck as your student.
While you can just pick up a tutoring job here and there, there´s no reason you can´t expand it a bit more. Why not offer online classes? With Skype and Windows Live, it is really quite simple to speak face to face with a student that is halfway around the world. There are websites that offer these services, but most of them are still pretty new and working out the kinks. From my research, I don´t really feel comfortable recommending any of the sites I came across, but that doesn´t mean you can´t set something up on your own.
Advertising tutoring services is pretty simple. If you want to keep it local, take out an ad in the local paper and hang up a flyer near any schools in your area. For online services, Craigslist.org is an excellent way to go, though if you plan to really get into tutoring, you will want to set up a website.
Tutoring can be a very decent way to earn a living and is very flexible. If you have older children, they can play in another room while you teach, but babies and toddlers may need to have a caregiver for the duration of the class. Working out of your dining room or office is completely feasible, though you should be aware that some parents will want to stick around while you are working with their children, so you will want an extra chair or two.

Where I come from, tutoring are dominated by school teachers, especially retired ones!
It has become a culture for school teachers to moonlight as tutors. Many of them who became successful turned to tutoring careers full time.
When I tried my hands on a tutoring career, it was hard going competing against the school teachers. But that’s particular to my area.
Other than that, tutoring is a fulfilling endeavor.
Make money with tutoring is like , i dont know not worth it.
