Eating Breakfast: Not Just for Kids

Are you one of those busy moms who jumps up from working just long enough to make breakfast for your kids while you are sipping a cup of coffee and trying to get a head start on the day’s activities? If so, you could be short-changing yourself and your business.

That old adage, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day” is actually true. Your body needs to break the fast of the night in order to get up to speed in the morning. By eating even just a banana or a cup of yogurt in the morning, you give yourself a better start on the day.

Since many work at home moms spend quite a bit of time sitting, it can also help to eat breakfast, which boosts your metabolism. That means you will burn more calories throughout the day without doing anything extra. We could all use that, right? ;)

A quick breakfast can also boost brain function, enhance mental clarity and give you more energy, especially if you have something like a banana which gives longer lasting energy than a sugary cereal.

So, all in all, it is worth grabbing something, even if it is on the run! Better for you and for your business.
