Dream or Destiny: A Very Good Read
I first met Lillie Amman on a writer`s website, which unfortunately is now defunct, back when she was just starting the publishing process of her book, Dream or Destiny. So, when she contacted me a month or so back to let me know that she`d finished it, I was eager to read her masterpiece.
Dream or Destiny starts out with a dream sequence that instantly captures your attention as the heroine, Marilee, realizes that it wasn`t just any dream, but coverage of real events that occurred in her apartment building.
With her unique knowledge of facts that only the true assassin would know, Marilee quickly becomes a suspect in the investigation of her neighbor`s murder. The murdered woman`s brother appears, desperate to find evidence to implicate the real killer while police flounder.
While David, the dead woman`s brother, and Marilee do a little clue seeking themselves, they find that they both have secrets and trust issues . . . both have pasts that affect their path together.
It`s a riveting read, for sure, I actually read most of the book in just one sitting! If you enjoy mysteries, then I highly suggest you check Dream or Destiny out. And stay tuned for my interview with Lillie a little later this morning where she shares her tips for aspiring writers and gives us a little insight into her writing process and time management.
