Design Your Own Postcard Giveaway

UPDATE: This contest is now closed. Thank you!

Postcards can be a very useful method of marketing, but if you`ve decided that you`re sticking to online promotion because of costs, then have I got a contest for you.

Uprinting is offering one of my readers 500 5×7 postcards for free! You can choose from any of the available stocks, including an eco-friendly version. Uprinting lets you choose your own design, so you can literally do anything from Christmas postcards to promotional ones. You can check out a gallery of ideas on the website, but here are a few of the things they suggest using their postcards printing for:

  • Thank you cards
  • Invitations
  • Gift certificate
  • Event announcement
  • Hand-outs
  • Portfolio samples

Uprinting also offers other sizes, if you don`t win the contest. You can choose from several standard sizes, starting as small as 4×6 and all the way up to 6×9, or order custom sizes. They also do small runs of 100 for those who don`t want to invest in a large number of postcards right off the bat, but can accommodate much larger numbers, as well.

Ok, on to the good stuff . . . how do you enter this contest? It`s very simple. All you need to do is leave a comment on this post with your name, location and let me know how you would use the 500 postcards if you win. That`s it. I`ll choose a winner on Saturday, Oct. 11. Anyone in the world can enter, but if you live outside the US and Canada, you`ll need to pay shipping, should you win.

  1. Ohhh. If I win, I would put these babies to good use.
    :)
I would use them as promotional handouts advertising my shop. I would put a few photos of my products on them, add my shop link, and perhaps even a special discount code.

  3. I would use them to promote my portfolio through a direct mailing. My sister-in-law, who is an artist , has been doing this for years. It must work, because she she is very successful! Thanks!

  4. I would use them to promote my mother’s business throughout the community.

  5. I would use them to advertise my site and my book that I’m writing.

    Thanks for the chance.

  6. I would use them to notify all my extended relatives of our upcoming family reunion next summer. There are usually several hundred people in attendance and these would be perfect! Thank you for offer this.

  7. What a great contest! I’ve been following your blog for a while but this is my first comment! Thanks for all the great information you share with us.

If I was to win the postcard, I would design one to promote my new Virtual Assistant practice/business. I’ve been subcontracting and honing my skills since April and I am ready to launch my business. Therefore these postcards would be a wonderful gift and boost to my start-up business.

Thanks for the opportunity. Have a wonderful weekend.

  8. My parent’s business would get a large boost with these postcards. They own a greenhouse and the advertising expense gets more and more expensive. These would be so perfect and help them so much!

  9. I am really new to your site but I am really glad I found you. It is so nice to know that there are others out there!

Wow! What a great opportunity! If I won I would use the postcards as promotional tools for my business. I am an artist and I am just getting into the stage of my career that requires beautiful print materials as a major part of marketing. I love artist’s post cards- they are so much more fun than business cards and I keep them. They are like “mini art”. I love the idea of being able to give people a piece of my art for free.

    Thanks so much!

ps. If you want to see my work check out my website (hopefully it isn’t bad to include a weblink – I am still really new to this blogging/ commenting thing!)
