A Happy Working Song
Have you seen the movie Enchanted? My 2 year old just loves it, mostly because of the singing. While I´m already a bit sick of watching princes and princesses dodge poison apples and fall in love, one of the first songs in the movie is really very useful for work at home moms.
As Giselle is cleaning with her animal friends, she sings “a happy working song”. It makes everything fun. She swishes and swoops and really makes cleaning your disaster of a house look appealing!
I think we forget to enjoy our work sometimes. Really, whether you are doing housework or something for your business, it´s up to you to make it enjoyable. Maybe you can´t sing (though it really does help!), but what really matters is your mind set. Are you dragging yourself through the tasks of the day, resentful that you have to do them? Or are you glad that you have the opportunity to work from home and enjoy your kids?
It´s up to each woman to make life enjoyable for herself. What do you do to have fun as you work?

I’ve been a long time lurker, but I’m not sure I’ve commented before. I am in the process of changing WAHM jobs. I struggle with finding joy in my current job and that is part of the reason I am quiting it. However, this is a good reminder that whatever I choose to do I keep a positive attitude. Thank you. (and I’ve got 3 girls so I’ve had my fill of Enchanted as well!)
