3 Ways Squidoo Can Help Your Business
I love Squidoo. It took me about a year and a half to actually get it, but since then, I have created nearly 100 lenses and loved every minute of it. It’s great for business, though I’ve also been earning a bit of money from it.
Did you know that this free tool can be very useful in helping with your business? Here are three ways Squidoo can boost your business.
1. Gain traffic. I get upwards of 100 visitors a month to this blog from my lens on how to stay awake. That’s not a lot, but it all adds up and if you have several different lenses pointing to various pages of your website, you can really boost your traffic.
2. Gain rankings. Squidoo is loved by Google. In fact, if you look at the first results of many popular keyword phrases, you’ll find that there are often Squidoo pages in the first ten results. That is a very good thing and can really help your business and your website by increasing the rank of your site through association.
3. Boost expert status. My oldest son was born with a birth defect called an imperforate anus. I struggled to find information on this issue and dealing with all the surgeries and health issues that come with it, there was very little information online. So, I built a Squidoo lens for new parents with kids who have imperforate anuses. It’s simple, it shares our story and gives some idea of what to expect, explains the basics of caring for a child with a colostomy and talks about the various surgeries. Over the past six months, I’ve received TONS of emails from parents thanking me and asking for more advice . . . even though I’m not that experienced. The lens gave me authority, expert status and you can do the same for your business.
