10 Minutes for You

As a work at home mom, how much time do you get for yourself? Are you a mom who makes sure that you have time to relax and do something just for you? Or do you tend to push through your own needs and get things done for your kids and business and husband instead?

If you`re having troubles thinking of what to do for yourself without taking too much time out of your busy schedule, here are a few ideas.

  • Go shopping without the kids. Take a ten minute break to have a coffee and relax.
  • Spend some time gardening . . . if your kids want to help, give them a plot on the other side of the house. ;)
  • Pick up a magazine and read one or two articles the next time you get a moment.
  • Get up 15 minutes early and spend that time doing something for you . . . putting on makeup, reading a chapter in a book, or taking a longer shower.

  3. As a mom who’s children are grown, I wish that I had followed this advice more. If you take care of yourself, you are better equipped to take care of your family and their happiness. Looking back is always easier.
